God is doing amazing things through the Care ministry. Since the beginning of 2020, the Care ministry and City Team have teamed up in order to better serve families in need of food in our community. With the outpouring support from the Campbell church, the Care ministry has already served 135 families this year providing them more than 10,000 pounds of high quality of groceries. It is so encouraging to see that Campbell's church families from all walks of life participating in service in this ministry in various capacities. For example, seniors prepared coffee and delicious snacks for our guests and volunteers; students brought great energy and enthusiasm; young adults took initiative with creativity and planning; and parents brought their young children serving together tirelessly.
The Care ministry team is very grateful for the consistent support in past three years from the members of the congregation providing groceries for the Care ministry operation. Your financial support and time invested in this ministry have played a very important role helping to shape this ministry and allow all of us to serve those in needs in our community more effectively. The partnership with the City Team provides us a great opportunity to provide food more effectively on a large scale, allowing us with a capacity to serve 300 families or more twice a month. However, there is a fix cost of $25,000 associated with this operation, including transportation and City Team staffing. We believe that God will bless this ministry greatly through your support.
For the first year, the Care ministry would like to share the burden with the City Team. This will be about $1000 per month. We prayerfully ask you to consider supporting this ministry for $20 or more a month. You can write a check to Campbell Church of Christ and write in memo line “Care Ministry”.
